Making your own pesto is quick and easy and tastes so much better than anything pre-made.

We use 2 cups of picked basil leaves(about 1 bunch), 50gm toasted pine nuts, 50 gm grated parmesan, ½ cup extra virgin olive oil, 1 clove of garlic, and salt and pepper, all thrown in the food processor and blended until smooth.

It keeps in the fridge for a couple of weeks and makes anything you add it to taste amazing.

Try tossing it through pasta, spread on sandwiches or on toast or stirred through soups and sauces to make them sing!
